GIG: Hanging out with Luke Nguyen

The DT boys gets chummy with celebrity chef Luke Nguyen in his recent store celebrations.

Alan: 'We were so good yesterday that Luke Nguyen asked us to perform again'.

Luke Nguyen: 'you guys were GREAT! I'm surprised you guys didn't break any glasses. Trained in such right places, I might even call you guys to perform at my other restaurants'.

Well done boys (and girls) and looking forward to more gigs.

SHOP: Luke Nguyen's Red Lantern Restaurant Anniversary

Congratulations to Luke Nguyen and his restaurant celebrations and what a great way to bring good luck with the Dong Thanh Alliance Martial Arts Team.

"I was so surprise that he [Luke Nguyen] knew about our shoulder technique" says  Peter Lam.

"It was awesome! I've only ever saw Luke on TV with his cooking show and now I get to see him in the flesh" adds Ian Tran.

Dong Thanh Alliance Martial Arts is running FREE Lion Dancing classes for the community of Western Sydney. Any young people interested in being a part this award-winning (2010 & 2014 City of Sydney Twilight Parade Winners) spectacular team. Come to our next workshops.

ĐỒNG THANH ALLIANCE MARTIAL ARTS

Đồng Thanh Alliance Martial Arts (previously known as Dong Tam Youth Martial Arts Association) is one of the oldest in Western Sydney and largest Vietnamese martial arts school in Australia. They specialise in traditional martial arts ranging from Shaolin, Kung Fu, Karate, Judo, Hapkido, Tae kwon do and kick boxing. Their specialised class is XMA (Xtreme Martial Arts) and Đồng Thanh is well known for its lion dancing performances across Sydney.

Đồng Thanh has been a catalyst of cultural diversity since the late 80s and has been a crucial place for young people coming from refugee backgrounds to develop traditions in martial arts skills as well as become leaders in their field and contribute to Australian society.
